Veil, Valor & Vigil

VEIL, VALOR & VIGIL brings together three short comics created over a few years by Vaibhav Kumar. The first story was made in the summer of 2022 for the anthology 'Concrete Arcanum' (USA). It shows the author's fondness for classic impostor tales like The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The second was created in the winter of 2022–23 for 'Magic, Might & Monster-In-Laws' (Singapore). What began as a playful twist on Arabian Nights turned into an excuse to revisit some of my favorite movies with a touch of humor. Both of the initial comics came to life through Kickstarter campaigns and might be available online if you'd like to read them. The final story was created in late 2024 for the WAVES 2025 Indian Comics Association contest. Inspired mostly by an episode of an old tv show, I tried to adapt it into an Indian story.
