Matinee

Matinee is a self published 80-page graphic novel that captures an extraordinary day in the lives of a group of otherwise ordinary girls. Set in the 90s, it follows Janaki and her friends as they decide, much to the disapproval of others, to watch an adult film at a theater in Trivandrum. The novel explores the conflicts and unexpected challenges the girls face while pursuing their simple desire to watch a film.
